The Boca Grande Community Center would like to extend thanks to all of the volunteers who helped make Sunday's 5k Run and Fun Walk such a fantastic race. The event proved to be challenging and fun for over 225 participants. The Fire Department and Sheriff's Office deserve a big thank you for helping to ensure the safety of all the runners and residents during the race. A special thanks to Gasparilla Properties, Gasparilla Inn and Cottages & Friends of Boca Grande for their generous donations towards the race. Without the financial support of these organizations, this race would not be possible. We also need to thank Zoomer's Running & Triathlon Club, Runner Girl, Boca Grande Cart Rentals and Dee Romejko for the wonderful co-sponsorship and door prizes. The community of Boca Grande has proved again that the residents are willing to give their time and efforts to help make special events like this race such a success.
