Airman Joseph A. Weese

Air Force Airman Joseph A. Weese has graduated from the E-3 Sentry, Airborne Warning and Control System aircraft, Aerospace Maintenance Apprentice Course at Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma City, Okla.

The course is designed to train airmen in aircraft maintenance fundamentals and weapons systems familiarization, security instruction, technical order systems, maintenance management and documentation, aircraft and flightline safety. The training included use of hand tools, hardware, and equipment to perform aircraft ground handling, corrosion, and inspection procedures; inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining aircraft airframe, electrical, hydraulic, egress, environmental, fuel, flight and landing controls, engines and related systems, components, and support equipment; and adjust, align, rigs, and calibrate aircraft systems, including communications, early warning radar, and electronic warfare equipment.

Weese is the son of Jerry A. and Bobbie J. Weese of Coliseum Blvd., Port Charlotte. The airman basic has been in the military for six months.

He is a 2008 graduate of Lemon Bay High School, Englewood.
