Golf carts the way to get around Gasparilla

Nothing symbolizes the leisurely lifestyle of Gasparilla Island quite like the golf cart. Rentals are available at numerous spots, and it wouldn’t be unusual to see one built by Mercedes cruise by. There is an age restriction on who may drive a cart  — it is 14 —  and visiting grandchildren can be seen meandering down the road to their favorite fishing hole, or to the beach. Or plan to travel by bike- Gasparilla has 13 miles of bike and golf cart paths that make getting around via pedal power easy.
