Boca Grande resident Barbara M. Peoples, 83, died Monday, Dec. 20. Peoples has lived in Boca Grande for 25 years.
She was a member of the Boca Grande Woman's Club, the Gasparilla Inn & Club Croquet Club, and St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Boca Grande.
Born Sept. 17, 1927, in Peoria, Ill., Peoples attended Mt. Holyoke College.
Peoples' husband, Robert J. Peoples, died 11 years ago. Survivors include her daughters, Susanne Foote of Wilmington, Del., and Lynn Peoples of Boca Grande; a sister, Katherine Wood of Wilmington; two grandchildren, Allison Simon and David Foote of Baltimore; and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be held in January at St. Andrew's.
