Elvis sightings in Boca mean Green Gala prizes

February 23, 2011

A gold lam-clad Elvis Presley has been sighted in Boca Grande and it means valuable prizes for anyone who finds him any time between Saturday and March 4.

Presley was reportedly drawn to town by the Viva Las Vegas theme for The Barrier Island Parks Society Green Gala.

At least 50 laminated Elvis cutouts have been placed around Boca Grande by BIPS organizers. Each Elvis has a prize and all gala information listed on the back.

Green Gala organizer Sharon McKenzie was seen lunching with Elvis at P.J.'s Seagrille recently.

The Grand Prize is a free ticket to the gala. Other prizes include $20,000 in gala gaming money, $25, free cocktails, wine, framed poster of Elvis and Vegas pins.
