He was born June 29, 1959, in Oklahoma City, Okla., to Gerald and Carolyn (Massey) David.
He moved to Englewood in 1987 from Venice.
He was the owner of Island Window Design in Englewood and the previous owner of Grande Designer Floor Coverings of Englewood.
He was a graduate of Venice High School and a member of the Englewood Pool League on the Lost Boys Team. The U.S. Army veteran served in Germany.
He is survived by his wife, Cynthia; his daughters, Cynthia Maretti of North Port and Jennifer David of Englewood; father, Dr. Gerald David of Sebring; mother, Carolyn Katon of Chicago; two sisters, Colette Deer of Cocoa Beach and Sharon David of St. Petersburg; his niece, Melissa Miller; and nephews Donald Miller, Jeff Saulkner and Gabriel Warwick.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday with a celebration of life to follow at Lemon Bay Funeral Home.
