Raymond Fulton, 97

Raymond H. Fulton, 97, of Venice, and formerly of Englewood, died May 4.

He was born Sept. 25, 1913., in Albany, Vt., to George and Emma Fulton.

He moved to Englewood in 1982 from Laconia, N.H., where he retired from Scott & Williams/Laconia Needle Co. as knitting machine technician and stockroom manager.

He was a member of the Englewood United Methodist Church and an usher for 25 years. He volunteered in many activities, especially the Pancake Days.

He was also was a member of the Laconia Congregational Church in Laconia, New N.H., and served as a deacon-trustee.

Fulton also served in All Masonic Bodies in the Methodist Church – Bektash Shrine Club, Englewood Shrine Club York Rite, Scottish Rite, and also was active with the Masons in Laconia. He also served in the New Hampshire National Guard.

He is survived by two sons, Raymond H. Fulton, Jr. of Bedford, Pa., and Robert S. Fulton of Huntingtown, Md.; sister, Ruth Rardin of Orlando; son-in-law, Lawrence Brown of Wilton, N.H.; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his wife, Marion B. Fulton, and daughter, Susan Brown.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Monday at Village on the Isle, Renaissance Rm. No. 1, Venice.
