May 27, 2011
Gasparilla Gazette
Luci Krohn, Rotonda: “If a hurricane comes, we’re leaving. We’ll get our documents, our kids and our dogs, Boscor and Skipper, and get out of town.” Richy Edwards, Boca Grande: “I plan on re-videotaping all my personal property and checking that my scheduled personal property insurance is paid up to date.” Miles Lenhart, Gulf Harbor: “I’m making sure my insurance is all paid up and plan on keeping a full tank of gas.” Eric Oberg, Millers Dockside manager: “We’ll bring in the water and have the lumber ready. We’re always prepared. We’ll just fill in the blanks – crossing all the Ts and dotting the Is. I think we all need to be ready this year.”

Terry O'Connor, Venice, Gasparilla Gazette editor: “This week's Gasparilla Gazette hurricane guide will tell you everything you need to know about island hurricane season preparation.”
