Sullivan was born Jan. 4, 1930, in Elizabeth, N.J. He moved to Englewood in 1992 from Wheaton, Ill.
The U.S. Navy veteran served in Korea.
He was a member of St. Raphael Catholic Church of Englewood and a member of the Elks, VFW, American Legion, Moose and Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by his wife, Doris; children, Richard E. Jr., Michael, Kevin, Timothy, Cheryl Ann and Christopher; brothers, Jack and Jim; sister, Corrine; and three grandchildren
Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. today at Lemon Bay Funeral Home, Englewood Chapel.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Raphael Catholic Church.
