Born April 11, 1933, in Kingsland, Texas, he was the son of Perry and Sally Gobles.
Following his high school graduation, he served four years in the U.S. Coast Guard. He later entered the U.S. Air Force and served honorably for more than 20 years until his retirement.
In 1954, while stationed in Margate, England, he met his Margaret and the couple were married in 1956. He and Margaret attended the United Methodist Church in Tocoma, Wash., where he accepted the Lord as his Savior.
He and his wife had recently begun to attend at the West Coast Assemblies in Englewood.
Besides his wife and brother, he leaves two children; Clifford Gobles of Sun Valley, Idaho, Trudy Neill of Seattle and three grandchildren.
A service of honor will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, June 16, at the West Coast Assemblies Church in Englewood.
