Randall (Randy) Craig Hopkins, 56, passed July 9 in Venice.
Born Oct. 7t, 1954, in Ida, La., he moved to Venice in 1969. He graduated from Venice High and received medical and fire fighting training from SCTI in Sarasota.
He was a firefighter/EMT with North Port Fire Department who retired after 24 years.
He loved his family. He is survived by his mother, Mary Hopkins; two sisters, Debbye McCracken, and Sherry Bear O'Day; and brother, Robert Hopkins II, all of Venice; along with many other loving family members.
He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Hopkins I.
Services will be Thursday, July 14, at Kays, Ponger and Uselton Funeral Home at 1935 South Tamiami Trail, Venice. Burial will follow at Gulf Pines Memorial Park 2401 Englewood Road, Englewood, FL. 34223.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Thursday at Kays-Ponger & Uselton Funeral Home Venice Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Gulf Pines Memorial Park, Englewood.
