Born June 2, 1928, in New York, to Michael J. and Eileen A. (Kelleher) Lang, he moved to the Englewood area from Lindenhurst, N.Y.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, the American Legion Post and the Elks Lodge of Englewood.
He is survived by two daughters, Eileen A. (Robert Steven) Morehouse and Kathleen M. Lang of Englewood; two sons, Michael A. Lang and John A. Lang Jr. of Englewood; and six grandchildren, Jamie, Joey, Jenny, Kathleen and Jersey Morehouse and Emily Lang.
He was predeceased by his wife, Jennie M. Lang.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Lemon Bay Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. Burial will follow with military honors at Gulf Pines Memorial Park in Englewood.
