To the Editor:
The Boca Grande Kid's Reunion (3.0) has come to an end. It was amazing to see so many generations of islanders, together in one location, reminiscing and having so much fun. We would like to take a moment to thank all of those who helped to make this year's reunion such a success.
Miller's Dockside: Thank you Eric Oberg for allowing us to have the reunion at your establishment. The buffet provided was a wonderful and delicious selection for a very affordable price. Your staff is not only efficient, but made us all feel welcome. Thank you for going out of your way to make this possible.
South Beach Bar & Grille: We appreciate your having The Boca Bande on hand for our after-reunion celebration. The dance floor was hopping, and everyone certainly seemed to be enjoying themselves.
Marcy Shortuse: Thank you for donating your time, and camera, to do pictures for us. We plan to donate the guest book, along with a photo album, to the Boca Grande Historical Society.
To the following Boca Grande businesses, we thank you for your generous donations which made our Boca Gift Bag Drawing possible: Special Effects, Key Agency, Iitaliano Insurance, Gasparilla Outfitters, Island bike & Beach, Hudson's Grocery, Holly's Island Shop, Ruhama's, Dolphin Cove, Sister's Restaurant, Boca Beacon, Boca Grande Area Chamber of Commerce, Caribongo, Courtyard Hair, Essential Stress Melts Candles & Soaps.
Congratulations to the winners of the gift baskets; Dave Arner and Suzanne Fugate.
We are also fortunate to have not one, but two, island newspapers, which helped us to get the word out to everyone. Thank you for your coverage on our event.
Most of all, thank you to all of the Boca Grande Kids who attended. It was a wonderful evening. We hope to see you again next year!
