A bonus art exhibit by noted Vincent Van Gogh reproducer R. James Mahoney will accent the season-opening production of "Vincent" by the Royal Palm Players.
The exhibit will be on display for the four show performances Nov. 17-19 in the front lobby of the auditorium.
Mahoney is a retired dentist with a lifelong passion for art. He's long exhibited works in many Florida art shows but painting became a full-time hobby 15 years ago.

He and his wife, Donnette, have visited nearly every notable art museums in Europe and the United States, with a particular interest in impressionist and post-impressionist painters.
Mahoney's reproductions focus primarily on Van Gogh, Gauguin, Matisse, Modigliani and Cezanne. "His attention to color detail and brush strokes give his artwork an authentic rendition of the originals," said Michele Strauss of the Royal Palm Players.
The Sarasota Ballet is also coming to Boca Grande this weekend for a solo performance at 8 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, in the auditorium. Stauss said tickets still remain for the ballet although advance sales have been solid.
