David Michael Norman, 25, 55 Hillcrest Drive, has been charged with 2 a.m. burglary Tuesday of the Englewood Market, 3582 N. Access Road, Englewood East.
CCSO detectives are continuing their investigation concerning several other burglaries in the area less than 10 miles from Boca Grande.
At 3:27 a.m., a deputy stopped Norman near the business as he was walking down the Access Road and questioned and released him.
At 7:42 p.m. a deputy made a vehicle traffic stop by Circle-K in Englewood with Norman as passenger. While citing the driver, a sergeant asked Norman about the burglary and he reportedly began to sweat and stutter, and then admitted he fled with the alarm sounded.
Norman said he needed money for drugs and food. Norman was jailed on $2,500 bond.
