Two Boca Grande artists added major awards in December showings.
Cecilia Jonsson-Bisset and Susan Shaffer took first and third place, respectively, at Englewood Art Center's juried exhibition titled "Florida's Best."
Jonsson-Bisset's watercolor, "Bougainvillea Blessings," received first place and Shaffer's framed paper work titled, "Daydream," was awarded third place.

Cecilia Jonsson-Bisset won Best in Show for “Water Lily” at the “Best of the Best” invitational juried exhibition at ArtCenter Manatee in Bradenton.
Both artists are founding exhibiting members of the Boca Grande Art Alliance and year-round island residents.
Jonsson-Bisset also was awarded Best in Show for her piece titled, "Water Lily," at the "Best of the Best" invitational juried exhibition at ArtCenter Manatee in Bradenton.
The "Best of the Best" show will run through Jan. 13, 2012. The show is exclusively comprised of 2011 ArtCenter Manatee award recipients with more than 180 pieces displayed.
Jonsson-Bisset and Shaffer will be showing all-new work Feb. 23-26 in the "Five Artists, Art On Banyan" exhibit at the Boca Grande Art Alliance.
The Englewood Art Center is located at 350 South McCall Road in Englewood. The Art Center Manatee is located at 209 Ninth St. West in Bradenton.
