A Port Charlotte woman was arrested Monday for "doctor shopping" to obtain Oxycodone pills.
Sharika Shanika Smith, 28, 19977 Midway Blvd., was charged with withholding information from a practitioner. It is a crime to not tell a physician who prescribes you pain medication that you received pain medication from another physician since your last visit.
Detectives said Smith had been using a doctor in Port Charlotte and one in Tampa to obtain prescription Oxycodone.
