The Gasparilla Island Bridge Authority has an opening on its very busy Board of Directors, which is meeting monthly and is required to meet quarterly. GIBA encourages island residents with a keen interest in future bridge operations to volunteer.
There opening on the GIBA Board is for Advisory Member position No. 7. Advisory members are elected by the five voting members.
All advisory members must be island residents and property owners, but they do not need to be registered voters. Interested parties should send rsum and letter of interest to: GIBA, Attn: Executive Director Jim Cooper, P.O. Box 1918, Boca Grande FL 33921.
Letters of interest will be accepted during the next 60 days ending March 20. The advisory member will be selected at the next scheduled GIBA board meeting after March 20.
GIBA invites all highly qualified and motivated residents of the community to consider joining our talented and focused GIBA Board Team. The next five years of bridge replacements will determine and shape the overall future of our island's character.
