The Charlotte County Sheriff's Office is investigating thefts from six unlocked vehicles within a couple blocks of each other in Port Charlotte Tuesday.
Police say thieves made off with $2,600 in stolen items from cars parked on Corktree Circle, Goldcup Circle and Buele Court. IPods, cameras, jewelry, cash, binoculars and a wallet were taken.
"Always lock your vehicles; unlocked cars and trucks are easy targets for those looking for cell phones, GPS units, satellite radios, money, wallets, purses, CDs, iPods, drugs and weapons left in unsecured vehicles," said
Sheriff Bill Cameron.
