The Charlotte County Sheriff's Office will close the road around the Punta Gorda Airport Friday, Saturday and Sunday during U.S. Navy Blue Angels practice and shows.
Closing times include noon until 2 p.m Friday and 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
No vehicles will be permitted on Golf Course Boulevard in the safety zone at the end of the runway from Henry Street to Fairway Drive during those times. Police advise motorists to plan an alternate route during the shutdowns.
