Tampa Bay Rays pitcher Matthew Brian Bush, 26, will remain in the Charlotte County Jail on no bond until his first court appearance Saturday on the seven DUI-related charges. Bush is waiting to meet with his attorney.
The crash occurred just before 5 p.m. Thursday on Interstate 75 when Bush allegedly ran over a motorcycle driver who is listed in serious condition. Bush was arrested in North Port.
