School teacher, lawn care owner arrested for pot

Charlotte County Sheriff's Narcotics Unit detectives seized 22 pound Sunday at 20314 Navajo Lane in Port Charlotte. Detectives said an unknown amount of marijuana was burned inside the home before detectives could enter.

Paul Shane Hanna, 35, who owns a lawn service company, was charged with violation of probation for previous arrests. His wife, Deidre Michelle Hanna, 35, a Meadow Park Elementary School teacher, posted a $9,500 bond and was released Sunday. Hr husband was not granted bond.

Both are charged with three felonies: cultivation of marijuana, possession of of more than 20 grams marijuana and tampering with evidence; and two misdemeanor charges of resisting and obstructing a law enforcement officer, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
