Reserve Major Matthew Fineman retired with 35 years of service before a packed room at Charlotte County Sheriff's Office headquarters among staff, family, and long-time friends.
Fineman began as an auxiliary reserve deputy Sep. 21, 1977, at CCSO. He also served in the reserves for Punta Gorda Police and Florida Highway Patrol.
Sheriff Mike Cameron presented Fineman with his retirement badge and a certificate.
