A Port Charlotte man was arrested Tuesday after continually called 911 because he wasn't allowed to enter a bar with his kitten.
Deputies were called shortly after 9 p.m. to Emerald City in Murdock after the owner ejected , 47, 23385 Farnam St. in Port Charlotte. Instead of leaving, Lages sat down outside the business and called 911.
Deputies who spoke with Lages reported he appeared intoxicated. They called a taxi for him, but Lages would not cooperate.Police say he began yelling and insisted the club owner had committed a crime. He allegedly continued to call 911 on his cell phone even though deputies were already on the scene.

Lages was arrested and forcibly restrained. He was charged with misuse of the 911 system, disorderly intoxication, trespassing after warning and resisting arrest without violence. He is being held on $4,000 bond.
Animal Control was called to pick up the kitten - safe and sound.
