Elinor Carol "Lynn" Dittmar, 79? of Cape Haze died June 1 in Sarasota of complications from lung cancer and a stroke.?
Born Nov. 11, 1932, in Detroit to William and Clara (Bloch) Weinert, she graduated with an elementary education degree from Eastern Michigan University.
In 1955, she married Heinz G. Dittmar.

In Michigan, she was an elementary teacher for Walled Lake School District, then became a stay-at-home mom and a member of Orchard Lake Presbyterian Church.
In Florida she was an avid bridge player and golfer, was active in Women of Windward and attended the Englewood United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her step-mother, Mildred Weinert. Survivors include: her husband, Heinz Dittmar; daughters, Julie (Warren) Radgens of Novi, Mich., and Kristin (Nate) LaMar of New Castle, Ind.; four granddaughters, Chelsea Radgens and Nicole Radgens of Novi, Elizabeth LaMar and Alexandra LaMar of New Castle; a sister, Shirley (Warren) Young of Sebring; and five nieces.
A memorial service will be held later in the year when a lot of her friends have returned to Florida.
