The Gasparilla Gazette and Monster.com, the worldwide leader in Internet advertising for job opportunities, have joined in a strategic partnership to provide industry-leading recruitment advertising for companies seeking employees and state-of-the-art rsum submission for job seekers, according to Breeze Newspapers Publisher Scott Blonde.

"The Gazette, in conjunction with Breeze Newspapers, has always been recognized as the most effective advertising source for help wanted ads in this region," Blonde said. "And Monster.com has been the leading innovator in connecting people to job opportunities through the Internet since the worldwide web's inception.

"In combination our newspaper will provide the best possible tools to companies seeking employees and to our readers, in print and on the Internet, who might be seeking a job or a better position."

On June 20, jobsinswflorida.com will offer a regional Internet site that will be the most locally centered job site for this area.

All Breeze Newspapers papers - the Gasparilla Gazette, Cape Coral Breeze, Sanibel Captiva islander/Island Reporter, Pine Island Eagle, North Fort Myers Neighbor, Fort Myers Beach Bulletin/Observer, Lehigh Acres Citizen, and Lee County Shopper - will also post job listings to this site.

The partnership with Monster.com will also extend all local jobs to the worldwide market place. As a result of the new relationship, job seekers will have access to more job opportunities from top local employers and new technology will make it easier to search for, find and apply to these opportunities. There will also be national search options to locate jobs in other parts of the country.

Breeze Newspapers Advertising Director Jim Konig said new career tools such as rsum management and career advice from industry experts will be available on jobsinswflorida.com.

"We will also introduce Monster Match, which will help the job seeker build a skills profile that will be available to employers," said Konig.

Employers will benefit from the partnership by access to several new online solutions, including the Career Ad Network and Monster Match, Monster's vast rsum database and industry-best talent-matching technology. Monster Match is designed to help companies find the right candidate quickly and easily.

Another benefit for companies will be unlimited text offered with online job postings to allow complete job descriptions and allow more explicit qualifications for the positions.

"We are thrilled the Gasparilla Gazette has chosen Monster as its recruiting partner," said Lauren Chacon, senior vice president for Monster's Media Alliances Group. "By combining The Neighbor's local relationships and credibility with Monster's recruitment expertise and deep pool of talent and opportunities, job seekers will have access to the best job opportunities in their markets. Employers will also be able to better tap into the talent available in their markets."

"We are excited about the opportunity to partner with Monster, the most recognized national brand for recruitment advertising," Blonde said. "In cooperation with Monster, The Gazette will continue to provide the best solutions for those offering jobs and those seeking jobs."
