Leo Gregg Lulofs, 58, of ?Rotonda West (formally from Fort Myers, passed away May 26 after a battle with cancer.
Born Aug. 11, 1953, in Holland, he came to the United States at age 5 graduating from Antioch High School, Class of 1971.?
He is survived by his loving wife, Laura (Coffey-Herring) of 13 years; sons, Gregg (Jennifer) of Colorado, Kenneth (Heather) of Illinois, Michael of Florida; daughter, Caree (Jeff) of Colorado; and was loving grandfather Opa to grandchildren: Trent Nitta, Avery Nitta, Max Lulofs and Zander Herring.

He is also survived by brother, Paul (Pat) of Fox Lake, sister-in-law Diane (Jack) Klein; nieces, a nephew and many wonderful friends and relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Elizabeth Lulofs,?"Oma and Opa."
He worked for the SBC phone company for 30 years, starting in 1971, then for Alcatel-Lucent Technologies the past four years. He retired in 1999 and traveled the United States with his wife in their RV for nine years between jobs.

Hobbies included Vegas trips, bass fishing and he loved golfing, recently playing on a PGA course in Biloxi. He loved it.?

A single life produces much radiance when that person follows his dreams, tries to do what is right and refuses to let obstacles stand in the way.
Leo Lulofs did all that.
The world is better for his having lived. We are better for having known him. Though his life ended too soon, it was a life complete in so many ways. If love could have saved him, he would have lived forever.
