PC woman arrested for stabbing boyfriend

Charlotte County Sheriff's detectives arrested a Port Charlotte woman around 1:30 a.m. Tuesday for stabbing her live-in boyfriend. Pauline Elaine Randle, 34, 21538 Gibralter Ave., was charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.

CCSO received a call at 12:21 a.m. to respond to Peace River Regional Medical Center in Port Charlotte concerning a domestic altercation that resulted in a stabbing. Deputies and detectives responded to the hospital and to a home at 22019 Catherine Ave. where the stabbing occurred. A witness told detectives he saw the altercation and stabbing; Randle fled the home and the witness drove the victim to the hospital.

Detectives said the Randle, the victim and witness were guests at the Catherine Avenue home where an argument began. The witness said he saw Randle pick up an 8-inch knife off the kitchen counter and stab her boyfriend on his left side shoulder near his neck. The witness disarmed Randle and she fled the home. The victim was treated for a non-life threatening injury.

At 1:32 a.m., Randle was located at 22078 Marshall Ave. in Port Charlotte where detectives arrested her. She was taken to the Charlotte County Jail where she remains on no bond.
