Charlotte County Sheriff's deputies arrested a man after an investigative traffic stop and seized 114.3 grams of cocaine and 75.3 grams of marijuana.
John James Lovely, 50, 1186 Davis Lane, Englewood, was charged with trafficking in cocaine, possession of marijuana more than 20 grams, and narcotics paraphernalia.
At 5:26 p.m. Thursday CCSO received a shoplifting call from Kohl's Department Store in Port Charlotte. A suspect's white Dodge Avenger fled the scene driven by a white female wearing a white T-shirt, blue jeans and white shoes. A deputy made an investigative stop at Cornelius Boulevard. Her passenger was John Lovely.

The deputy allegedly found three plastic baggies containing marijuana and a Powerade container with four baggies of cocaine.
Deputies cleared the driver as the Kohl's suspect but Lovely was transported to the Charlotte County Jail where he remains on no bond.
