Charlotte County Sheriff's detectives arrested a 40-year-old Port Charlotte woman after she allegedly stabbed her boyfriend with a kitchen knife at her home Saturday.
Christina Marie Cooper, 22146 Hernando Blvd., was charged with domestic aggravated battery.
CCSO received a call at 3:37 p.m. Saturday where five witnesses said Cooper came home, and began yelling at her 35-year-old live-in boyfriend. She allegedly took a kitchen knife off the shelf and stabbed him in the right leg, and threw the knife at a window above his head but it missed. Cooper then fled the home.

The boyfriend was transported by EMS to Peace River Regional Medical Center where he received 20 stitches. Cooper returned home and was arrested at 2:37 p.m. Sunday. She was transported to the Charlotte County Jail where she remains on no bond.
