The International Convention of Allied Sportfishing Trades is the world's largest sportfishing trade show, so naturally it attracts attention from Boca Grande.
The ICAST trade show is not open to the public.
ICAST, the premier showcase for fishing gear innovations, accessories and apparel, was held for the first time since 2009 last week in the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando.

Boca Grande business owners attended this year's ICAST as they have been in shows past. Buyers from Special Effects, Gasparilla Outfitters and the Barnichol walked the show floor in search of best-selling items to offer customers.
The show is held in Las Vegas usually so the Orlando venue was much more convenient for the Gasparilla Island business reps.
Gasparilla Outfitters Tarpon logos on long-sleeve fishing shirts were on display at one clothing booth called Mojo, which is an impressive line of fishing clothing.
The "New Product Showcase" is the No. 1 reason ICAST attendees come back year after year. This is where new products are unveiled for next season.
The 2012 show, produced by the American Sportfishing Association, attracted more than 9,000 attendees, 3,000 buyers and more than 750 media, according to ASA President and CEO Mike Nussman.
Big-name fishing magazine editors rubbed elbows with the media and world-class tournament anglers from big-money tournaments. Some fishing legends walked the floor sharing their knowledge and posing for photos
Seeing new accessories, apparel and fishing tackle and being able to ask questions, see the products in person and talk directly to manufacturers helps buyers when they place business orders.
In 2013, ICAST will be back in Las Vegas.
