C. Duane Colegrove, "The Old Duck," 84, of Englewood died Aug. 9.
Born Aug. 30, 1927, in Moline, Ill., to Clell and Ruth (Lindsey) Colegrove, he attended Illinois Tech and St. Ambrose College.
Colegrove was co-founder of ERC (Electronic Register Components) in 1980 in Atlanta and retired to Englewood 1996.

He was past president of Englewood Isles Homeowners Association, EAA member and a Buchan Airport supporter. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he also played the trumpet for the 691st AAF Band in Germany in World War II.
Survived by his wife of 30 years, Jean "Schatz;" sister, Sally Egy; children, Mike, Bill, Kathy, Patty, Linda, Barb; stepchildren, Gale, Tom and Rene; 21 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; niece, Nancy; and nephew Steve.
He was predeceased by his wife, Cecelia Colegrove; son, Jeff; stepson, Byron; and grandson, Brandon.
A funeral Mass will be held at St. Raphael's Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 16.?In lieu of flowers donations may be made to FISH of Englewood, call (941) 475-4494.
