Charlotte County Sheriff's detectives arrested a Grove City man Thursday after he asked his bank to reimburse him for numerous fraudulent ATM transactions from his accounts.
ATM photos reportedly showed Scott Douglas Jury, 53, 2830 Oyster Creek Drive, withdrew the money and filed a false report. He is charged with false reports of commission of crimes.
Jury reported June 15 his Wells Fargo checking account was overdrawn by transactions he did not make totaling $1,515. Jury reportedly told police he filed a reimbursement claim with the bank but was denied so he needed an official CCSO report.
