Charlotte County Sheriff's detectives filed more charges against a South Gulf Cove man invovling a grand theft case in Englewood East.
Police say Donald Robert Costa, 39, 10412 New Brunswick St., once lived with a 29-year-old woman and her 49-year-old mother at 9190 Bensonhurst Lane. When he moved out Aug. 22, the mother told police her gold jewelry was missing. Detectives say the Pawn Finder system found Costa sold the stolen jewelry items for $250 the same day at Charlotte Jewelry & Watch Repair, 1931 Tamiami Trail, Port Charlotte.
Detectives arrested and charged Costa with trafficking in Buprenorphine, burglary, grand theft and possession of drug paraphernalia Thursday in connection with a burglary at his friend's El Jobean home and an incident at Town Center Mall.
