Charlotte County Sheriff's deputies arrested a Port Charlotte man after he allegedly ran over his neighbor with a golf cart following an argument.
Carl Travis Martin Jr., 21040 Jerome Ave., was arrested for aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, resisting an officer and driving while license suspended.
CCSO responded to a call at 6:21 p.m. Saturday to talk to a man who said he was run over by his neighbor.Standing on the edge of the roadway, the victim said Martin drove at him and struck him. The victim told deputies Martin had a pit bull riding with him.

Martin turned the golf cart around and drove back to his home as the victim's wife called CCSO.
Deputies say the victim's legs were scraped and bruising, however, he refused emergency treatment. Two neighborhood witnesses verified the victim's account of the incident for police.
Martin posted a $6,000 bond Sunday.
