To the Editor:
The Adult Respite Group had a great day Oct. 2. They were treated to an "Ole Boca Grande Fish Fry" Luncheon served in the Woman's Club Room.
Fresh mackerel, fried and served with hush puppies, Cole slaw, baked beans and a delicious dessert were enjoyed by all.
Our thanks to Capt. Lamar Joiner Sr., Mark Shevitski and helper who caught, cleaned and fried the fish for us with the yummy sides supplied by our great volunteers!
We also shared stories of the days when a fried mullet fish fry was a regular event held several times a year at the Boca Grande School.
What a treat! Thanks to all who participated!
