A Charlotte County Sheriff's detective arrested an Englewood man for selling stolen gold jewelry items allegedly taken during a burglary of a South Gulf Cove home.

Joshua Mark Frink, 23, Perry St., Englewood, was charged with dealing in stolen property and false verification of ownership to a pawnbroker.

CCSO received a call Sept. 25 concerning a burglary to a home in the 8800 block of Claumet Boulevard. A window was broken to gain entry and a $7,700 diamond engagement ring, a Gulf Coast University class ring, and two gold lobster and crab charms were taken.

Detectives found all stolen items at Gold Pro's in the Port Charlotte Town Center Mall. They were allegedly sold by Frink the same day the burglary.

But Frink could not be located. At 11:22 p.m. Monday night a road deputy made a traffic stop on a 2012 Dodge car with the tag light out. The driver was Frink. He was taken to the Charlotte County Jail on $65,000 bond.

The investigation continues. Frink has not been charged with burglary to the home.
