Charlotte County Sheriff's Major Crimes Unit detectives need help identifying the man who robbed SunTrust Bank, 18501 Murdock Circle in Murdock shortly after 3 p.m. Thursday.
Detectives released a surveillance photo of the bank robber who was wearing a dark-color jacket, sunglasses, light brown baseball cap turned around, sporting a goatee, and is about 5-foot-11. A red T-shirt was sticking out the bottom of his jacket. The subject fled the bank on foot with an undetermined amount of cash.
CCSO detectives, deputies, and other units quickly set up a perimeter around the bank but were unable to locate the subject. They did find a dark-colored jacket believed used by the bank robber. He was later reportedly seen wearing a red T-shirt with sleeves cut off. The investigation continues.
