Charlotte County Sheriff's detectives arrested a Rotonda West man Wednesday after a DNA match identified him as the burglar of Beach Road Boutique in Englewood.
Karl William Recine, 25, 109 Annapolis Avenue, Rotonda, was charged with felony burglary, grand theft and possession of burglary tools.
CCSO received an alarm call to the business at 1350 Beach Road at 4 a.m. Aug. 26 and discovered front windows smashed out, front door unlocked and cash gone from a secured area. Blood on a glass pane on the door and a cabinet was swabbed for DNA. The DNA match came from the national database.

Detectives located Recine at his home and took him to the Englewood District Office for questioning. Recine said he would "Plea the Fifth" and then requested his lawyer. He posted a $7,500 bond and was released.
