Commissioner Stephen Deutsch will hold a community meeting from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 17 in the Commission Chambers, Room 119, of the Charlotte County Administration Center, 18500 Murdock Circle, Port Charlotte.
All Gasparilla Island residents are invited to express input on issues facing the county.
"I believe elected officials should be responsive to and reflective of the views of our citizens," said Deutsch. "This is an opportunity for everyone to participate and express their ideas and views. Former Commissioner Bob Starr conducted monthly kitchen cabinet meetings while he was in office and I feel they were a great idea. We plan on having a community feedback meeting on a monthly basis."
