Helen E. Gunter, 85, of Englewood died Thursday, Dec. 20.
Born July 19, 1927, in Wolfe City, Texas, to Ted and Elizabeth (Jones) Williams, she moved to Englewood in 1995 from Naperville, Ill.
Gunter was a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Englewood and the Venice Doll Club.?
Survivors include her husband, C. Gene Gunter of Englewood; daughter, Carol (Max) Pokorny of Cape Haze; son, Chet (Sandi) Gunter of Martinez, Ga.; grandchildren, G. Quentin (Jennifer) Finney, Stephanie (Pokorny) (Matt) Naylor, M. Brandt Bays, Christopher (Priscila) Pokorny, Emily Pokorny, Rebecca Pokorny, Nicholas Pokorny and Jacob Pokorny; and great grandchildren, Rowan, Liam, Cash, Mac and Lilly.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday Jan. 12 at Calvary Baptist Church, Englewood
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Mothers Against Drunk Driving.
