The man who fled after a stabbing incident Saturday has been charged with attempted murder.
Michael Ray See, 19, 11290 Pineapple Road, Punta Gorda, was arrested at 4:15 a.m. Sunday, according to Charlotte County Sheriff's Major Crimes Unit detectives.
CCSO received the call at 6:56 p.m. Friday after the 23-year-old female victim ran to a neighbor's home saying she had been beaten and cut multiple times to the face, neck and an eye. CC EMS transported the woman to Lee Memorial Hospital Trauma Unit where she remains following surgery. The victim lived in the same house as See.

CCSO K9 units, deputies, a helicopter and detectives searched for See through most of the night. A deputy spotted See in the area of Pepper Road and Olive Circle and he was taken into custody without incident.
He was taken to the Charlotte County Jail where he remains on no bond.
