The Florida Department of Transportation, District One, is doing a Project Development and Environment Study for State Road 776 from County Road 775 Placida Road, which connects with the Gasparilla Causeway, to Spinnaker Boulevard.
The study involves development of alternatives to expand this segment of the road to six lanes. Staff will evaluate social, economic and environmental effects proposed improvements may have. The team also will estimate costs for different alternatives.
Share ideas and comments about proposed improvements at a workshop from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19, at the Tringali Recreation Center, Gymnasium, 3460 North Access Road, Englewood.
Attend anytime during the two-hour meeting to review project information and talk one-on-one with study team members. An informational project video will run continuously throughout the workshop.
