The two-day World's Richest Tarpon Tournament and public festival returns May 23-24 to Boca Grande Pass.
Up to four anglers per team will compete for thousands in cash and prizes.
Competitors will follow catch-and-release procedures to ensure post-release welfare of all tarpon.

"This tournament and festival will increase global awareness of the important role that tarpon play in the world's oceans and our ecosystem," said Guy Harvey of the Ocean Foundation.
Winners will be determined by the highest total number of tarpon caught and recorded when captain or mate touches the leader and releases the tarpon. An observer trained in tarpon identification, release procedures and tournament rules will accompany each team in the competition.
The festival in downtown Boca Grande runs May 24-25. Exhibitors, demonstrations and promotions accompany art vendors, live music performances, attractions such as the Mote Mobile Aquarium, and lectures by leading fishery experts and scientists.
The tourney mission is one of conservation, education and sportsmanship. For more information, including team entry forms and sponsor opportunities, go to WorldsRichestTarpon.com or BocaGrandeChamber.com.
