Officers will be elected to the Boca Grande Historic Preservation Board and two projects considered at a 10 a.m. meeting Wednesday at the Boca Grande Community Center Womans Club Room.

The top agenda item involves a project at the historic Johnson residence at 1300 13th St. West in Boca Grande, which entails additions and construction of a new single-family residence onsite.

The request for seven variations from Lee County Land Development Code for residential single-family zoning includes:

reducing the minimum 25 feet required street setback on the north property line to 19 feet 11 inches to add second-floor master bedroom with bathroom on the west lot;

reducing minimum required street setback of 25 feet on the north property line to 23 feet 11 inches for second-floor balcony expansion on the west lot;

reducing minimum required rear setback of 20 feet on the south property line to 10-feet-2-inches for a single-family residence on the east lot; and

eliminate minimum required side setback of 10 feet on the east property line for new wood trellis and new fountain and trellis on the west lot and east lot.

In other action, a proposed Johann Fust Community Library project entails rehabilitation of the main entry stair to correct structural problems at 1041 10th St. West in Boca Grande. It needs one variance.

Cases are available at the Reference Library in Boca Grande Community Center, 131 First St. West, Boca Grande.
