Charlotte County Sheriff's deputies evacuated homes northeast of Rotonda West Wednesday due to a large brush fire.
No damages were reported.
CCSO received the call at 3:08 p.m. and Charlotte County and Englewood Fire units responded with the CCSO Aviation helicopter with Bambi bucket.
The area is west of Gasparilla Road toward Rotonda West. Roads blocked in the area of Ingraham, Antilla, Antis, Apollo, Basswood and David have reopened.
Motorists on Gasparilla Road were affected smoke conditions.
