Charlotte County Sheriff's detectives are asking for help finding a hit-and-run driver of a vehicle who seriously injured a woman on a bicycle Feb. 10 in the Cape Haze area.
The 45-year-old Venice woman was struck in the 8500 block area of Placida Road at 11:44 a.m. Sunday.
The passenger-side mirror of a white car struck the cyclist along the edge of the road. The car fled the area but the damaged mirror fell and was found on the pavement. It has not identified a specific car.

The victim sustained multiple serious but non-life threatening injuries. District-1 detectives have talked to good Samaritans who helped the woman after the crash but none actually saw the vehicle that hit the woman.
