An alcohol compliance check Tuesday afternoon on eight Englewood=area businesses resulted in a clerk being arrested.
At 1:05 p.m. a minor under age 21 allegedly purchased four Loko Margarita beverages at the BP station, 4363 South Access Road.
Store clerk Henry Elbeth Beinert Jr., 65, 3 Golfview Terrace, Rotonda West, reportedly sold the items without asking for ID. Beinert was charged with sale of alcohol to a person under 21. He was taken to the Charlotte County Jail and posted a $500 bond.

The businesses checked were on McCall Road, North Beach Road, Placida Road, San Casa Drive and the South Access Road.
"Operation Dry Spring" continues through April 7 in conjunction with spring break schedules of most public and private schools.
"Our units have beefed up patrols on our main beach areas from Englewood to Boca Grande and in the Charlotte Harbor area," said Charlotte County Sheriff Bill Prummell. "Patrols are checking places where youth hang out in Charlotte County. Underage drinking, smoking, including smoking marijuana and synthetic marijuana are being targeted."
