The Boca Grande Historic Preservation Board Wednesday stated it was responsible for correcting the Gilchrist parking problem.
That said, now we have a board in place to listen to, to digest ideas and eventually correct the problem.

I would suggest a sub-board committee be formed of interested parties. Residents of Gilchrist, Gasparilla Island conservation & Improvement Association, the Lee county Sheriff's Department, Lee County government, Gasparilla Inn & Club and perhaps the clergy of Gilchrist churches could all be included.
This committee would do all the legwork and report to the Boca Grande Historic Preservation Board. I'd be happy to help.
We need to get focused and to pull in ideas and get results. Enough "hot air""!!
