To the Editor:
Wow! What an Island Fair.
The Boca Grande Woman's Club Fair chairs would like to thank the whole Boca Grand community for making this year's Island Fair the happiest event of the year.

But wait, first you have to go back to the day before with the Boca Grande Fire Department arriving to help us with the giant task of setting everything up.
The week before that The Gasparilla Gazette gave us a great heads-up with a really nice article to herald the event.
Months before that the Community Center's Bob Green and Joe Wier set aside the date and promised the equipment, the games, the premises and their amazing staff.
The day could not have been more beautiful and that set the stage for a great Bike Parade to the Community Center lawn.
The L.A. Ainger Middle School Jazz band kicked it all off with great music and Julian Keevil and Charlie Field followed with music and commentary.
We had something for everyone with Capt. Phil O'Bannon bringing along the Mobile Mote Marine, The Island School (winner of the best in show ribbon for the Bike Parade) giving tours of the school, books galore from the Johann Fust Community Library, Sun Coast Humane Society showing off their pets and the Lemon Bay football team helping everyone.
And then there were all of you who came to ride the ponies, play the games, have your faces painted and picnic with your families.
Thanks for coming, and thanks for bringing your parents and grandparents with you.
